Don't say STUPID

Okay, this just totally tells me that Zoey actually does listen to me. Lately she has had a little potty mouth, nothing bad or anything, just saying words such as the following:
Stupid
Dumb
Poopy Pants
Retard
Idiot
I know, it is horrible, don't know where she learned them...well, I know some came from me and Cory. Whenever she says any of these words I tell her, "Zoey, we don't say naughty words, don't say that again."

The other night we went to visit Cory's dad in the hospital and as we were driving home we were talking about how we feel bad for Cory's mom because she is stuck at the hospital all day doing nothing.
I said, " I feel bad for her because she is stuck watching STUPID sports all day."
Zoey says, "MOM, don't say STUPID!!"

Oh, thanks for the reminder Zoey!!

I Am a Bad Mom.....

Because I failed to get Zoey a flu shot this year AND she got it! Yep, Influenza B Virus. Zoey has been a trooper, has fought through her up to 104.2 temp and all. She has now had a fever for 7 days and the doc says it could last a few more. So, the following are how she has been spending her days cooped up in the house! It is not fun and I am hoping none of the rest of us get it.

Zoey has been wearing one of my T-shirts pretty much the whole time. She has been playing dress-up about 10 times per day. I literally have cleaned up dress-up clothes a countless number of times. Oh well, at least she is keeping herself busy!

Below is one of the ways Zoey fell asleep. She has been sleeping in my bed with me and Cory has been sleeping in her bed. Here she was watching a movie with her new Sleeping Beauty doll and fell fast asleep.

She looks so uncomfortable.

Once again, fell fast asleep on the couch watching another movie. I just thought she looked so beautiful and angelic in this picture. If only she always looked and acted like an angel!!

And here is one from today, sitting on the couch eating starbursts, her favorite candy. She ONLY eats the pink ones and leaves the rest for her dad. She is a cutie and we love her. She has definitely been a trooper! Sorry sweetie for being sick!

Colston is 6 Months

It is crazy how fast these little guys grow up! Already 6 months and still going strong. It is funny, I honestly don't remember what it was like without Colston. He has brought a lot of joy into our little family. He is always smiling and is so good natured. I can honestly say that I am very blessed to have him! He seriously only cries when he is either really hungry or tired. The only bad thing about him is he is a horrible nap taker. He only takes about 3 to 4 20 minute naps per day. I am hoping that this changes quickly because mommy needs a break. Colston is a little chubby boy who loves to laugh, and most of all adores his sister. Zoey can just be talking or doing something on her own and just watching her makes Colston laugh. It is so fun to watch them and I am so thankful for my husband to let me stay home with both of them.

Colston weighed in this month at 19 pounds which makes him in the 76th percentile for weight. He was 26 inches long which puts him in the 75th percentile and his head is in the 50th percentile.

He is hitting all of his milestones perfectly! He is a little sweetie!

We love you Colston!

At the Movies....

So, this is how Zoey left her "precious" people the other day. We have been asking Zoey to put toys away if she is not playing with them any more. I said, "Zoey, you need to put your people away if you are playing with them anymore." She replied, "Mom, they are my precious people and they are at the movies. I can't bother them! It's okay mom, just wait a little while."
Yes, the things they think of of.

Even the horse enjoyed it, while the stagecoach was left at the bottom. Funny thing, the TV wasn't even on.

Next up, this is how I found Colston as I heard him grunting in the other room while zoey and I were cleaning her bedroom. I came in and he had rolled over onto his belly in the bouncer. I think we are done with the bouncer!

Yesterday, Zoey wanted to go on a trip in a boat....so they got in and I pulled them all throughout the house. I remember doing things like this, I love the imagination of a child.

So, I am thinking that Colston is going to be a little person who concentrates on things. Here he is in his room concentrating on getting that lady bug to come off, but it just won't come off! He is already lunging for things and once he has his eye on something he doesn't forget it. If you try to turn him away from the object, he turns his body back towards it and reaches as far as he can. Can't wait to see what trouble he will bring me in his toddler years!

This picture is a dedication to daddy! I should have put his Jeter shirt on him, we will post that at a later time!

To finish off, this kid is not a binky baby. He will take the binky every now and again if he is really tired or really hungry and I can't feed him. He prefers nothing or his little thumb, which he really doesn't suck too often. I caught him sucking his thumb the other day and had to get a picture! Hopefully it doesn't last too long!

Aren't They Sweet!

Okay, so I know I ONLY blog about my kids, but that is seriously all my life consists of. Pretty much every second of every day is spent with these two little sweeties (sometimes not so sweet). So, I just can't help but blog about them.

Colston is growing, growing, growing. I took him to a sick appointment a couple weeks ago and he was an ounce short of 19 pounds. Can you believe it?! He is gigantic. His 6 month appt is next week so I am curious to see what he weighs next week. He is sitting up on his own playing on the floor, he has been for quite a while but would tip over eventually. It is nice to finally have him able to just sit and play!

Zoey is just her usual adorable self. Always saying the funniest things. She loves her little brother and copies things I say to him. It is so cute! This morning she was talking about going to the Draper temple and said that we would go there and wake Jesus up. A while ago we told her that Jesus lived in the temple, she asked if she could go in and see him, we told her that he was sleeping so we couldn't go in. She is so funny! I really should start writing everything down that she says.

Cory is enjoying his job with Alpha Home Health and Hospice. Pretty much not much has changed in our lives. I love being home with the kids, even though it is MUCH harder than actually working out of the house.

Below are a few pics of the kids, of course, so enjoy!

Cory and Colston napping.

This is Zoey playing on the dance game at the bowling alley. It was so cute that she knew how to play it. She loves to dance.

I think Colston's face is so funny in this pic.

Colston loves to play in Zoey's room. She has all the fun toys. He actually loves Zoey all together.

Playing on our bed.

Below are some pics of Colston playing on his own. So nice!

Zoey and Colston

Zoey and Colston are the joy of mine and Cory's life. They are both so sweet and fun to be around. This post is just about them and the things they do.
Above is Zoey and Colston taking a bath together. Zoey insists on getting in with Colston each time he has a bath. Luckily, I think Colston loves it just as much. He always gets a huge smile when they are bathing together.

One of Zoey's best friends, Lauren, came to play for her last time. Lauren moved to Virginia a couple weeks ago. Zoey is very sad and misses her already. She has already asked a few time when Lauren was going to come play again. So sad :(. But here they are playing for the very last time.

Below is Colston's first time actually enjoying cereal. I have tried to introduce cereal to him several times but he just was not interested. Finally he loves it. He smiles the whole time I feed him, it is so cute! Not that he needs the cereal or anything, he is definitely getting enough to eat from me. He is growing like crazy!!

I love my two little kids! They are so fun and I love them more and more each day. Nothing is better than being a mother and watching your kids grow and develop! I love it!

Go Jazz Go!!

So, they may not have won but it was a great game. I don't usually enjoy watching sports, but when you are able to sit center court on the 5th row, it is hard NOT to enjoy it. Some friends from the ward had tickets to the game and brought us with them. We got to enjoy a VIP dinner before the game started which was very good, then we watched the game, had dippin dots, and called it a night. I was very nice to be able to go out without any kids (thanks to the Jenkins and my mom and dad).
Above is Cory enjoying the game.

So, for some reason I think Kyle Korver is so cute. Maybe cause he is a good guy, basketball player, who knows....I just think he is cute. So I was happy I got to get an up close pic and view of my crush!

And here is Cory's crush. He REALLY likes D WILL. He even went as far to say he could take the place of his other man crush Derek Jeter. So, we got a few shots of cory's crush so we could have that for documentation. Too bad Cory didn't get to meet him....maybe next time.

Here is Steven and Brittney, thanks to you guys for inviting us to come with you. We had a great time. This couple is very nice and we had lots of fun with them.

And here we are, just enjoying the game. Boy, if only we could sit this close every time. I don't know if I will be able to go back to the nose bleed seats. We are going to have to save for seats like this again sometime.

It was the Bear's birthday so they invited some other mascots to the game. They did some funny things on the timeouts, here is just a pic of what they were doing.
It was a fun night and good to be out on a date! Thank you Steven and Brittney.

The Shopping List and more.....

Yes, Zoey is my little helper. Each time I am going to the store she must come and bring her own little list. In fact, she even pushes the cart all by herself. I will have to get a picture, it is pretty funny. Anyway, below is my shopping list and Zoey's shopping list. Too cute!

Once again, more pics of Zoey helping me bake. BUT...I must learn something from this because on this instance of making chocolate chip cookies, Zoey added a little more flour than needed so the cookies were not that great. Oh well, at least she is a good little helper.

And the rest are just some random pics. Notice how each time I am getting Colston a pic of him in his crib, Zoey has to jump in and get in the pic with him. She loves his crib, too bad she didn't love it when she was his age!

I love colston's smile in this picture. So cute! Totally his personality.

Zoey and Colston's first bath together!

And just little Colston playing so good in the exersaucer. He is so good and so sweet!
