Your OFF

Okay, this is a short one but I thought it was funny. Maybe you just had to be there.

The other day I was at my mom's house and we were just chatting and snacking. Well, Zoey was in the kitchen and noticed that my sister had eaten my dad's treat (I can't remember what it was) and so my mom told Zoey to go tell Aunt Kayli off for eating grandpa's treat.

Well, Zoey walked into the office where my sister was and says, "Kayli, your OFF for eating papa's treat!"

It was hilarious. It is funny how kids interpret things. She is a cutie and it is those moments where I forget what a little stinker she can be.

Random Pics

These are just some random pics that I have taken recently of the kids. They are both doing good. Colston of course is growing like a weed. He is not just getting chubbier, he is getting longer and longer. Poor guy has long arms so none of his shirts are long enough in the arms. Hopefully he will be a tall basketball player or something. Zoey can't decide if she wants to be a cheerleader or a baseball player when she grows up. It changes every day. I guess she could do both.

Okay, so here is a question. I feel bad for asking this but I have to know if any of you moms out there with two kids felt really annoyed by your first child after the second one came along. It seems like Zoey turns into a little stinker as soon as Colston wakes up or needs any of my attention. She is more whiney than she has been in a long time and I sometimes I just feel like shutting her in her bedroom! I feel bad, but she has got to stop being so crazy! Any suggestions?

I must say she is very cute with Colston. She loves him very much and insists in being in every single picture with him.

Here they are, my three favorite people in the world, ready for bed.
Sink bath. I didnt feel like getting his tub out, which he is getting too long for.
And, Zoey just had to hold Colston and take a picture. Neither one seem to think it was a great idea. Poor Colston, hang in there buddy!

Ready for Church

I wanted to post these pics because Colston looks so handsome all dressed up for church. I couldn't believe this outfit already fits him. He looks like a big boy. Just thought I would share with you all.

Isn't he so cute?

Nice Bum, Where You From???

I hope this doesn't affend anyone....but Zoey has been potty training and I never put anything on her while we are at home. Thankfully she has done very well and has not had any accidents. She has pretty much been potty trained for a long time but since colston has been born she wants to where a diaper. Anyhow, the other day she was playing and wanted to put on her sparkly shoes. When I came in the front room room she was standing there with her shopping cart watching Spongebob and swaying back and forth. It was pretty funny. I had to get a picture.

Lovely outfit dont you think!?? She is quite the character.

Pumpkin Time

The other day we painted pumpkins for family night. Earlier that day Zoey had fallen asleep on the couch and Colston was sleeping in his swing. YES! They were both sleeping at the same time for the first time. Although it didn't last long, Colston was awake to eat before I knew it. But it was nice while it lasted.

Below are the pics of Zoey painting her pumpkin. She was very excited about the whole thing.

She looks a little scary in this picture!

"Mom, I got paint on my hands, clean it off!"

The finished product! It was a very fun family night. My favorite part was the chocolate chip shake I got from Arctic Circle. Yum Yum!

Birthday

So, I turned 29 on the 11th. Yikes! I am one year closer to 30! Crazy. Anyway, we had a good day. It is funny, birthdays just aren't the same anymore. They really just seem like any other day. We went shopping during the day because I have absolutely NOTHING to wear these days. I am really hoping I will get back to my old shape, although I know that is wishful thinking. I probably won't be able to squeeze into my favorite jeans anytime soon. Oh well. I will keep working on it, or at least I will start working on it. We then went to dinner at Chilis because I was wanting some fajitas. Very yummy. Both kids were actually really good the entire day. I was very surprised and glad. We then went to my parents house the next day for dinner and some yummy icecream cake from Basking Robbins. Below you will find pics of the cake, which sweet little Zoey picked out for me.

Here is Zoey and I with the Spongebob cake she picked out.
Here is the cake.
Here is Zoey giving Colston a ride on her shoulders. I didn't know I was in the picture or I would have smiled or something!

And here is Colston with my mom's dog Chopper. He is getting so big. I will post more pics later on everything else we have been up to. I can't believe it has been 6 weeks already. Crazy!

Just Having Fun

Well, the last month has been very exciting and new. I must say, it is a lot harder having two kids. I really look up to you mothers who keep going past two kids. You are amazing! It is a good thing I got one of each so I could stop there! Don't get me wrong though, I love Zoey and Colston more than anything. They are both so cute and and fun to be around. Maybe I am just tired or something! Anyway, Zoey has adjusted well to Colston being here. She finds things to keep her occupied every two hours while I am feeding Colston. The following pics are just some things that have gone on over the last couple weeks.

Zoey has always loved these black boots of mine. One night she drug them out to the front room and insisted on putting them on. I am not kidding, I was laughing so hard because she could hardly walk in them but was trying to act so pretty in them. It was funny.
Here she is frustrated that she couldn't walk too good in them .
Just a close up of the boots.
Above is Zoey and colston one morning while I was getting ready. Zoey likes to lay on our bed with Colston and talk to him and try to make him laugh. Of course, he is not close to that stage but she still thinks he is pretty funny. She thinks if he touches her that he is doing it on purpose. She will say, "Mom he is trying to get me, thats funny!"

Yes, Colston plays with dolls already! Okay, not really but Zoey wanted him to take a picture with her Barbie the other day. They were playing on the blanket and Zoey told Colston that he was to watch the Barbie while she played with her Princess Horse.
He looks real excited doesn't he.
Here is Zoey with her Princess Horse. We did the binky fairy and this is what the fairy brought her. It went very well and she only asked for her binky a couple times since the incident. She thought it was very neat that the Binky Fairy brought her this horse.

Here is an updated picture of Colston sound asleep. He is getting bigger and bigger so fast. I can't believe how grown up he looks.
Doesn't he look so long in this picture?? He really seems older than 1 month. He is very strong and amazes me at all times.
Of course Zoey has to get in EVERY picture I take of Colston. She loves her brother.
Here is Cory and Colston. We test drove some cars the other day and had to stop and feed the little guy. Afterwards Cory showed Colston how to drive.
I have been feeling like a horrible mother because I haven't really done much with Zoey since Colston has come. So the other day we attempted to make a hat. I wanted it to be shaped like a cone but Zoey liked it this way. Here she is posing with the hat. She wouldn't put it on for the camera. Isn't her new haircut so cute!?

And here is a close up.
So that is our life the last few weeks. Not anything too exciting. My goal at this point is to fit back into my pants so I will have some confidence in going out and about. So, no pics of me until I look good again!!

First Two Weeks

The first two weeks of Colston's life have been very fun and tiring for mommy! But, we do love having him here. Zoey absolutely adores him and wants to help with everything. She is a little rough and doesn't quite understand that she needs to be very gentle with him. It really doesn't seem to bother him much, he really only cries to let us know he is ready to eat.

We went to his two week appointment and he weighed in at 8 pounds 4 ounces. The doctor was surprised because he said they are usually excited when babies just make it back up to their birth weight. He has almost gained a whole pound since we brought him home. He really doesn't seem like a two week old, well now he is almost 3 weeks, but he is just growing so much. He is very alert and already very smart.

Zoey loves to sit by Colston and get their picture taken together.

Here is Colston's first bath given by mommy and his sister Zoey. Zoey helped by rinsing him off after we washed him with soap. She loves, loves, loves to help.
He seems so huge to me!

Here they are watching Dalmations in our bed. Colston was just crying because he wanted out of the picture. BUT, Zoey insisted that they get their picture taken on mommy and daddy's bed.
Here she is trying to calm him down. It is so cute, she will say, "It's okay baby, it's alright."
Big yawns.
Here is Zoey chillin on the couch listening to daddy's Ipod.
YES, we are very tired at our house. Colston first fell asleep on me, then Zoey came over and layed her head on me and fell asleep too! It was pretty funny. Now if I could just get some sleep!

He is Finally Here

Well, he is finally here. Yay!! Since we didn't get in on the 28th to get induced, we were bumped to September 1st. It was a really great day to have a baby. My room had big windows that looked out at the mountains and I loved laying there watching the rain outside. It was a really good day. BUT....since I had an extra weekend before the baby was coming, I decided I should take advantage and go have a mommy daughter day with Zoey. I am so glad I did this.

I took Zoey to Discovery Gateway and I am so glad I did. She had a blast. It was fun to just cater the whole day to her.
Here she is on the 3rd floor building something out of these sticks. I love Discovery Gateway because it helps kids learn how to use their imagination.
For lunch she wanted a corn dog so we went to the fountains with my sister and she ate her corn dog there.
Then finally the day had come. I was induced around 8:30 or so, I can't really remember the time. Colston Cory Dunn was born at 4:52pm and as cute as can be at 7 pounds 12 ounces. He is already so much fun and a really good baby.
Here we are as a family right after I had Colston. I don't like posting pictures of me because I look awful. I hate how having a baby makes you look and feel so puffy!
Zoey is so excited to have a brother. She loved him the minute she saw him. I love this picture because it shows her excitement.
Kissing little Colston. Zoey loves, loves, loves to give him kisses. It is cute.
Here she is at the hospital with my dad holding Colston.
Sound asleep.

Sleeping on Daddy.
First time in carseat...asleep.
Asleep in the swing.
Asleep on the couch.
Asleep, asleep, asleep. Yes, as for now, he is probably only awake for about 2 hours a day. All he does is sleep. Which I guess is nice for Zoey so she gets more time with Mommy.

I am doing really good, the delivery went very well. I am just really tired all the time.
