Christmas Morning at Home

We woke up Christmas morning at 8am, which was very nice of Zoey to let us sleep in. Zoey didn't quite know what to do when she walked into the frontroom to a room full of toys from Santa.

She immediately ran over to the Kitchen and played with it for awhile.
We convinced her to open some toys, and she loves that now she has her own cleaning supplies to help mom around the house.
Here is a picture of the night before Zoey was to come and destroy everything. It took us 2 and a half hours just to put the kitchen together.
Here is a close up of her new table and chairs, loaded with some gifts to open.
Here is her new kitchen that Cory' parents got her.
Here is the easel that Cory's parents got her.

Here is the picture that Cory got me. He surprised me with this. I absolutely love it. It doesn't do it justice on the blog, but, I do love it. I think it is very cute. Our friend Weston did a good job of taking the pics.

Christmas with the Dunns

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Cory's family. Zoey had a blast. Below are some of the pics from Christmas Eve.

Here Zoey is playing with her cousin Micah's Mr. Potato Head. We should have got her one.
Here is Zoey and Micah waiting for Santa to come for a visit.
Well, Santa came and Zoey was excited and surprised to see him. She was fine with him from a distance, but once I took her up to him to tell him how good she was this year, she wanted nothign to do with him. Sadly, it was Cory's dad that dressed up as Santa, so hopefully he didnt feel bad about the whole thing.
Here we are as a family sitting on Santa's lap.

And again, Zoey was fine after Grandpa came back to the party and Santa was gone. It was funny though, when Santa left, she kept saying. "wait, wait." She is funny.

Christmas with the Jewkes'

We started the Christmas celebration this year with my family. Zoey had a blast, of course. She was very spoiled and loved everything she got. I couldn't post all the pics because, well, that would take too long! So, I just posted some of her favorite things.

She absolutely loves this tool box. She goes around fixing things and hammering things.

Here she is organizing all the gifts that she is getting ready to open, she is so funny.

When Zoey opened up this ball, she said "a ball, a ball." she couldn't stop playing with it.
And, here are some cute slippers that match her mommy's. They are so cute.

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles

DO I REALLY HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THESE PICTURES. THEY ARE HILARIOUS!
Zoey and her cousin Teagon (my brother's boy) were hanging out with the grandparents. Well, they got to take the best bubble bath ever, thanks to Grandpa. So, enjoy yourself with the pics below.

It looks like she is going to drown in the bubbles.
HO, HO, HO.....Merry Christmas!

How fun to be a kid.

To Sum it all UP

Here are some pics from over the last few weeks that I have wanted to post. There are even more than this, but I thought this would do it for now.

Below is my Christmas present from Cory. I know, it is early. I just had to have it and then when I got it I just had to put it up. I know, some of you may look at this and wonder why I wanted it, but those of you who really know me will understand that this has Danae written all over it. I am so glad that Cory has the same taste as I do! :) It would make decorating so much harder if he didnt.

Below is the close-up of the pic.

Here is Zoey sitting in the sink with her dad's beenie on it. Cory actually bought her one of her own just like it but another color and she still insists on wearing Cory's. She is funny.

Yes, it is true, I painted over the yellow wall in our kitchen. I was sad, but I do like this new color. I will post more pics once I take some. Zoey is once again wanting to help me. She is helping me paint the wall in the front room. She actually did pretty good.
And, here is Cory holding our niece Kamrie, my brother's little girl. She is so tiny in this picture. We have very cute nieces and nephews, and would not trade them for the world. Hmmm....do you think Cory is ready for another one??? I hope not...because I am not ready yet!

I'm Helping

Zoey LOVES to help me clean or do anything I am doing. I was doing the dishes and off she went to do some other chores around the house. This is where I found her. She was in our bathroom, she had poored Comet in the bathtub and the toilet and was cleaning the toilet as you can see in the pictures below.

Yeah, I am sure you are thinking to yourself, gross! She is totally leaning over the toilet, it was so gross. Luckily, I keep my toilet and toilet bowel pretty clean, I actually have to wipe it down daily because Cory gets, you know what, all over the toilet. Yuck!
Here, I had asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm helping!" She is so fun and cute. AND, a good little helper.

So many things......

I have so many pictures I need to post. So, bear with me and I will get them posted. I will warn you; however, that there will be quite a bit at one time. I seem to just post pics all at once. I can't just take a day here and there and post a few. so, I am working on it. I have had some requests, so I will get to it! Hey, at least you get to listen to some good Christmas music!!

Boots are made for Walking

Boy, don't get on Zoey's bad side! Apparently she had to wear grandpa's work boots around the house. Doesn't she look so happy!! She must be imitating the way grandpa feels when he has to wear these boots to work.......maybe!

Baking with Grandma

Zoey goes to my mom's house every Wednesday so I can get some work done for my job. Thanks mom! AS you can see, Zoey always has lots of fun. Here she is helping grandma make cupcakes for her primary class, or should we say, she was just eating all the batter.
I can just hear her now, "yum yum."
Boy, these are some pretty gross pics, not too attractive there Zoey!
A cute CHEESE smile for the camera.

Make Up

Zoey, as I have said before, watches every little thing I do. I guess she decided to make her baby and herself a little prettier! So, above is her baby with lovely mascara painted on her eyes.
And here is he two of them looking beautiful with Mascara to prove it. Notice how Zoey missed her eyes and got her cheek and upper lip!

Well, to make matters worse, this happened to be water proof mascara, which was very difficult to get off. We ended up going to my mom's house where she used mineral oil to get it off. She is so funny, but very observant. We need to be careful with what we do.

Christmas Time is HERE!!!

Well, I know, I am so boring! I haven't updated with pics for a while now. I will get that done in the next few days! I just wanted to wish everyone a great Holiday Season! If you ever get sick of the "White Christmas" song when looking at the blog, just click on one of the other songs to listen to!
I love this season! Not for the presents, but for the spirit that is here. It seems like most everyone is happy and just glad to enjoy the lights and fresh, crisp air! What a great time of year to celebrate our Savior's Birth!

OH!!!!

Here is Zoey with Grandma Dunn. I am sorry, but you can't help but laugh when you look at this picture. Zoey is so funny. She will make this face when she is excited about seeing something or really whenever we tell her to say, "oh!" Here they were looking at the scarecrow in our front yard. I got this picture off of Lauren's blog, so thanks Lauren.

Sucker

Zoey HAD to have this sucker! So, I bought it for her thinking to myself, "I know she is going to get everything in the car sticky with this thing." AND, she did. She took a few licks, then held it as she is in the picture above.
She then found that the stick of the sucker can fit down inside a hole where the buckles go into the carseat. She would push it all the way down and bring it back up again.
She then managed to get her entire face sticky by pressing the sucker up against her face each time she brought the sucker back up. She is so funny. I have learned with motherhood that you just need to let them do things and experience life for themselves. I think maybe that is why she is so smart!

One on One with Grandpa

We went to my parents block party a few weeks ago and they had a bunch of neat things for kids. This is the only pic I got because my camera battery died. :( But, I have been wanting to post this for a while and just had other things to post instead.

I think this picture is so cute of my dad and Zoey. They both just look happy and content.

Tagged by LAURA!!!

Here's the rules:
A. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
B. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog, for these rules.

1. Well, funny thing, Laura will understand this one as we talked about it the othere day. Sorry Laura, I will post this. I don't shower EVERY day. I do shower pretty much every day, but sometimes I just don't because lets face it, if I know I will not leave the house today, I won't shower. It isn't like I really sweat or anything. I smell just as good the day after I shower! Is that gross?! Maybe I shouldn't have shared that!

2. I love to play the guitar. Sadly, I haven't played in quite some time. I think the last time I picked up my guitar was when Zoey was like 8 months old. I used to play every single day for at least 2 hours. My goal was to learn a new song every week for a year, and I actually did it. Too bad I don't remember all those songs I learned. I went on my mission and that was the end of that. But, that is something some of you may not have known. I love the guitar and love listening to others play.

3. I love Chocolate Chip icecream. No matter what, I can eat it anytime, any place. Yum, Yum!

4. I love to sleep. Even though I don't sleep any more. I have always loved to sleep. I love taking naps. When I was younger, like middle-school and high school age, I would take a nap every day after school. I just love it. There is something that refreshes the body after a good nap. It doesn't even have to be a long one, just long enough to recharge.

5. I love to go disco skating. I have not been four about 5 years, but I love it. I love to dress up and skate to the disco music. I sometimes think I should have been a teenager in the 70's and not just an infant. So, if any of you ladies want to make it a night, let me know. :)

6. I hate cooking. Well, I shouldn't say I hate it. I just don't like it too much. I will cook because I want to for my family, but I don't really enjoy it. There are people who really love to cook, but I just love to eat it! And cleaning up is even worse! It is funny though, I don't really like eating out, so you would think I would like to cook so I can always have homecooked meals.

Ok...I'm going to tag: Sabrina, Erin, Alicia, Lauren, Jessica, and Carrie
