Fun in the Sun

This past weekend we went up American Fork canyon to have an early 4th of July lunch with my family. Zoey had a blast. She just wanted to stay in the water the entire time.

I love the classic looks on Zoey's face in these two pictures. It shows the excitement she had. One thing, the water was freezing cold. I could only stand to be in it for 30 seconds. But Zoey was probably in the water for about an hour straight. Kids will endure anything to have some fun.
Zoey spent a good part of the time collecting rocks from the river and putting them in her bucket. She was in heaven. She is obsessed with water and rocks, and she got both of them at the same time!

Icecream

You scream, I scream, we all scream for icecream!!
Zoey absolutely loves icecream. Even when she is really tired (like in this picture) she is willing to stay up a little bit longer just to have an icecream cone!

Our Little Artist

This morning I went in to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I heard little Zoey enter and start "scrathing" on the toilet. When I finished and I turned around, there she stand drawing on the toilet seat.
I immediately said, "Zoey, what are you doing?" She then started crying in fear of the
time out chair and threw herself to the ground. She knows when she is in trouble. I just had to laugh because luckily it was not permanent marker. She is so funny. She did not end up going to the time out chair, instead she helped me clean up the mess!
She also managed to draw on her forehead as well. She is so funny. Every day she does something to make my life a little more exciting! At least I don't lead a boring life! Hey, thats what kids are for.

Don't worry, I am really good at changing the template on our blog, but I haven't updated in a while. I plan to do so this weekend, so be patient with me and check it this weekend! I am not a very good blogger this week!

The Toilet

Well, this is a funny story. I wish I had a picture to go along with it. I didn't think to take one. Silly me. We were watching Brielle, our neighbors' little girl the other day. She is about 5 months older than Zoey. Anyway, they went off to play. Cory asked where the girls were because we hadn't really heard from them for about 15 minutes. We thought they were playing in Zoey's room, then we heard lots of laughter coming from that end of the house. Which, we thought that was wierd considering there really isn't anything that great back there. Well, I walked back to go to Zoey's room, and to my surprise there was Zoe Bug splashing in the toilet having a wonderful time! Brielle, also laughing with joy, was dipping Zoey's bath doll into the toilet, full body and all, and then bringing her out again. Now, I will try to give you mental picture. Just imagine Zoey with water everywhere, her clothes, the floor, Brielle, you name it. PLUS, Zoey's shirt was white as could be because the toilet had powder on it from Cory. It was a mess! She even had powder on her face. All I could think was, "please tell me she didnt bite the toilet rim!" (you know how boys leave a little treat on the toilet for us to clean up) Anyway, it was definitely funny and I do wish I had a picture for you all to see!

"I'm a good girl-boy!"

Now, I think in this picture Zoey totally looks like a little boy! It reminds me of a story my parents told me that when I was little, my grandma cut my hair like a boy. My dad was in the hospital at the time and when we went to see him, I think he said I looked like a girl-boy or something. So I used to say, "I'm a good girl-boy, huh daddy?" Anyway, I had to post this because it reminded me of that. To make the picture better, she is with grandpa in the pic.

Denver Zoo

We went to visit some friends in Denver a few weeks ago and we ventured to the Denver zoo. It was actually a quite memorable day. We had quite the journey to get there. We decided we would take the light rail downtown, then hop on a bus that would take us to the zoo. We got on the light rail and were right on schedule until we missed our stop and went to the end of the track. We then had to wait for the next train to come and take us back to the stop that we needed. Well, after we had gotten on the bus and got to the zoo, we were already tired and the girls were especially sleepy, but it was fun. It only took us like 4 hours to get there!!! BUT, I had a good time and these pics are fun to look at.

Zoey's Cooking

Mmmmmm, I love to help mom make pancakes! I like to mix the batter. Do you want some?!

Happy Father's Day Dad

This was taken Father's Day morning before church. Cory is wearing the tie that Zoey and I made him. Doesn't he look so cute!! It was a good Father's Day. After church we had our friends from next door (the Buchanans) come over for dinner. It was fun. They have a little girl about 5 months older than Zoey and they love to play together. We did miss, however, spending the time with our families. So, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to both of our Fathers. We love you!!

Zoey's BDAY Pics

Well, we finally have Zoey's Birthday pics on the blog. It is only a month and a half late, but that is okay. Now everyone can see her the day she turned one! She looked very cute. As I have mentioned before, we had a Luau for Zoey's party. I had the park reserved, but due to cold and very rainy weather, we had to think of something else. We ended up using the relief society room at the church. It actually turned out much better than I had anticipated. The food was good and Zoey was really cute! It was a really good day. Zoey loved all of her presents and I made a Hula Dancer cake that didn't get eaten. I ended up throwing most of it away. Oh well, it was a lot of fun to make! Anyway, it was a good day for everyone! Enjoy the pics.

Father's Day BBQ

Today we went to Uncle Rick's for a Father's Day BBQ. I missed having dad there, but hopefully we can see him sometime this week to wish him Happy Father's Day. Zoey was cute as usual, but also a little stinker as well. There is a pond in the back yard that she just couldn't stay away from. So, someone was always having to chase after her or make sure she didn't jump in to swim with the fish. She looked very cute in her heart dress and tiny pig tails. YES, she can finally wear pig tales!! I thought this day would never come! Anyway, it was fun and just wanted to post some pics for all to see. There are actually some of me and Cory in these!

Mother's Day

This was on Mother's Day morning before church. It was a wonderful Mother's Day with Zoey. I realized, I can't find any pics of Cory, Me and Zoey all together. We should probably get some!

Washing Up

Here is Zoey playing in the sink. Everyday she likes to wash her hands by herself while she sits on the bathroom sink. The only thing she needs help with is putting the soap on her hands. She does the rest. She turns the water on and lathers up and then rinses. She is our little smartie!

Second Interview

Well, Cory has a second interview with Lilly Pharmaceutical company next week on the 19th in Portland, OR. That means if he gets the job, we will be living in Portland. We are nervous about such a big move, but we are also excited to have this opportunity. Keep Cory in your prayers that he will get this job. It will be a big blessing for our family, especially since I will be able to stay home with Zoey.
Anyway, Cory will fly out that morning, his interview is at 1:30 at the Embassy Suite Hotel and then they will fly him home. We will keep you posted on what happens.

Zoey for Father's Day

Well, I got Zoey's
pics taken for
Father's Day,
they turned out
really cute, but
she was definitely
a little stinker!
She is finally
cutting some
teeth so she wasn't
the happiest
she has been. None
the less, the pics
turned out really
cute. She is
getting smarter
and smarter as the
days go on.
If you ask her
something is,
she puts her
hands up and
shrugs her shoulders
to let you know
she doesn't know.
she is so cute!
I wish everyone
could know
her as well
as we do.

Zoey's 1 Year Pics

Here are Zoey's 1 year pics. She actually cooperated better than I thought she would. She was a little lady. I can't believe how much she has changed.

We had a luau for her birthday, that is why she is in a grass skirt and swim suit for some of these pics. She wanted to play with the ball rather than cooperate for the picture!

Dunn Family

Today is Friday, June 8, 2007. I just started my first BLOG! Well, hopefully this will be helpful for everyone to get to know our family.

I will post some pictures soon.
