One CRAZY Week

One crazy week it was. It all started about a two weeks ago, I think. I was at JC Penney with my sister and Zoey and all the sudden Zoey just threw up all over and had diarrhea all over. So, I was thinking to myself that it was just a 24 hour bug and she would be fine by the next. NOPE, it lasted a total of 7 days. Every night she would get worse and worse. Finally I took her to the doctor because I was afraid she was getting dehydrated, he seemed to think she was okay, but warned me to watch her closely. She had not urinated in about 16 hours, which really made me nervous. She was not keeping anything down. I tried popsicles, water, gatorade, everything I could think of to keep her hydrated.

Here she is eating a popsicle and wearing one of my shirts. She had thrown up on all of her pajamas so I had to go to the last resort. Besides, she loves wearing my T-shirts to bed.
Well, I decided to take her to the hospital on Wednesday morning because I just knew she was getting dehydrated. I was thinking they would put her on an IV for an hour and send us home. NOPE, that hour turned into 24 hours, which then turned into 3 days!!! Yes, poor little Zoey had to be in the hospital for 3 days. It was awful. She was such a trooper and did so good. All the nurses loved her and though she was the sweetest and cutest thing. I told them, just wait til she starts feeling better and you may change your mind!

She was so cute about her IV, she knew it was giving her fluid so she could go home soon. She even went to the bathroom on the toilet while she was in the hospital. She is getting so big.
Anytime someone came to visit she wanted them to hold her. Poor thing, you can see the sickness and boredom in her face.
This is after she put on some lipstick that Grandma gave her to use in the hospital while she was there. So pretty.
We were so excited when we finally got to leave the hospital. We had a trip planned to St. George that we were planning on leaving Wednesday night, we didn't get to leave until Friday after Zoey was released from the hospital. We left straight from the hospital to St. George. Zoey was great. There was a complete turn around once we got to St. George and she got to play.

We stayed in a condo in St. George with my brother and his family. Too bad it was in the 60's the entire time!! Just our luck! We had to entertain ourselves the best we could. Above is Zoey talking on the phone, or at least pretending anyway.
We took them to the park at the condos and Zoey had a blast on the swings. BUT, it was freezing so we didn't stay out there long.
We even attempted taking them swimming in the so called "heated" pool. They looked so cute in their swim suits and those yellow things.
Here is Zoey standing by the balcony one morning .
Zoey and Teagon on the balcony in the morning.

We went to Las Vegas one day and took the kids to the Mirage dolphin exhibit. I highly suggest that if you are ever in Vegas, you visit this place. The kids loved to see the dolphins. They have it set up so you can be as close to them as you want. Above is a picture of me and Zoey next a baby dolphin. It was so fun. Yes, I am getting the water weight already!! :(
Here is Cory and Zoey looking at some more dolphins.

We had to get a bite to eat. We went to the Hollywood __________, cant remember the name. It was more expensive than we thought. Just a regualar fountain drink was like $3.50! But the food was good.
More pics at the dolphin exhibit.
They were getting a urine sample from one of the dolphins and we got to watch. It was fun.

Here is Zoey and Teagon playing on our last night in the Condo. They had lots of fun.
In the car. I got to sit inbetween Zoey and Teagon everywhere we went. It was fun, I love both of them. I was amazed at how my nephew Teagon could entertain himself. Zoey just mostly fell asleep.

Here is a pic of the pool just outside the condo, that we NEVER got to swim in because it was too cold. Oh well, maybe next time.
Here we are in front of the condo getting ready to leave. It was fun. I am glad we went and had that little vacation. It was a LONG week and we needed the break from every day life. I hope we get to go again, but this time there will be sunshine and we can swim!!

Yep, that is right. The crib bedding was sold this week. :(
Oh well, now I can go out and buy some cute bedding for little Colston.
Now if I could just find something that I really like, that would be nice.

Hard to Say Goodbye

Pottery Barn Crib Bedding FOR SALE!!
That is right, I am selling Zoey's crib bedding. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it and it was a perfect match for her. Zoey absolutely loved it and still does. She liked looking at the flowers as a baby laying in bed and I think I might be a little more attached to it than she is. I really am sad to say goodbye to it. BUT, why keep it around when we are having a boy, and for now don't plan on any more kids. So, I am posting this to let you all know I am selling it and if you or someone you know is looking for some crib bedding, send them my way. It is in really good condition, and you can still buy this exact bedding from Pottery Barn, so if you want more accessories, they are available.

I paid a total of about $150 for the bumper pad, sheet, and bed skirt. I did not buy the quilt because babies don't sleep with quilts and I didn't want to waste the money.

I will sell it for half the price I paid for it, which is around $75 dollars. This is a steal for Pottery Barn. I am posting this on Craigslist and KSL, so it won't be around long.

Here is a pic of all three items.

This is the Daisy Garden Nursery bedding from Potter Barn if you want to look it up online.
Oh, I do hate to see it go!

Better Late Than Never!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Zoey!!

Zoey had her 2nd birthday on May 4. I can't believe she is already 2 years old. It is crazy how fast time really does go by. We had a birthday party for her a couple weeks ago and I am just now getting to posting it, I am a slacker. So, here are some pics from her party, not in any particular order. Sorry for some of the blurry pics.

Here is Zoey opening some presents. She got lots of good gifts from everyone. She had a really good birthday. She got a wagon (not pictured) from Grandpa and Grandma Jewkes, and she absolutely loves it. We have taken her on a wagon ride pretty much every night since her birthday. I will post a pic later of her wagon.
She got a Mrs. Potato Head doll from Carrie, Heath, Micah and Abby. She loves to play with it.
She got this cute Princess Scooter from Grandma and Grandpa Dunn. She was so cute riding it at her party because she would just lif her leg up and down really fast thinking it would make her go, she loves it as well. She really loves everything she got.
She got a lawnmower from her Uncle Beau and Lauren. She loves it and pushes it all around. It even blows out bubbles as she mows.
Here is her birthday cake. I made my best attempt to make a heart shaped cake. The decorations are a little boring compared to last years cake, but lets be honest, I didn't have much time this year!!
Opening more presents. She also got some clothes and the Candy Land game from Stan, Raquel, Teagon, and Kamri. She loves to play Candy Land, especially since it is the Dora version. Her Aunt Kayli got her a cute little puppy with a leash and a carrier, her name is "Diamond" and she is so cute.
Here are the two grandpas just chatting away.
Stan, Raquel and Kamri.
Grandma Jewkes Carrie, Abby, Grandma Dunn, Beau and Cory

Here is Zoey again just sweeping on her birthday. I atually stole this picture from Lauren's blog because it is so cute of Zoey. She is a little princess. Notice her lovely outfit, she insisted on wearing those tights and nothing over the top.
Zoey eating some of her yummy birthday cake.
Riding on her scooter.
This is actually right before her party started. She looked so cute in her crown and necklace. Especially with the tights and her diaper showing through the butt. But hey, she insists on dressing herslef these days and it is really hard to change her mind.

Happy Birthday Zoey, we love you!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Just wanted to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all you moms out there.

Also, I know, I know, I am such a slacker. I have pics from Zoey's 2nd birthday that I will get up here hopefully tonight. It just seems like I never have time (excuses, excuses). It might just be that when I get home from work I just want to spend every minute playing and relaxing with Cory and Zoey.

I PROMISE I will get them up, if not tonight, than for sure this week!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! Hope you all have a wonderful day today.

Sleeping in the Car

Don't you wish you could just conk out in the car on a long trip like this?? We were on our way back from our trip to the San Rafael Swell (post below) and Zoey was so tired. We thought it was funny how she was laying on the pillow and took some pics for our memories.

Here is after she moved her head. It was so sweaty that it makes her look like she has a mullett again! She is funny. She actually got a really cute hair cut since these pics, I will have to take some pics of her and post them soon.

San Rafael Swell

A couple weeks ago we went down to the San Rafael Swell with my (Danae) family. It was fun and I am very slow at getting this posted. It was cold and windy off and on, it would have been better had the weather cooperated. Zoey was hesitant at first but loved it after she got the hang of it.

Here is Zoey up on top of a ledge throwing rocks off. She had fun doing that and was obviously not scared of heights as she usually is.
Here is my dad with Zoey and Teagon looking through a hole in the rock. Notice the Pringles can that Zoey carried all over with her. She wouldn't share them with anyone. She kept saying, "No, they are mine!"
Here is Zoey with her daddy. She is smiling, if only she would get rid of that binky so you could see her smile!
Cory on the four-wheeler. It was funny when he was riding it because he was listening to his Ipod and you could hear him singing from a ways a way. I don't know if he realized he was singing that loud or not.
Here is Zoey climbing on the rocks with her new toy jeep. We had a lot of fun and hope to go again soon.
